11-year-old Ahmed Sharif immigrated to the US from a war-torn Syria, after a violent protest occurs outside his apartment. Their family travels from there home town of Aleppo, to the beautiful and majestic Istanbul, to Atlanta in the United States. Right when he steps onto the plane to Atlanta, his life changes forever.
